Tapuchino Privacy Policy
Updated at
Tapuchino: Idle Cafe Tycoon ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is collected, used, and disclosed by Tapuchino: Idle Cafe Tycoon.
This Privacy Policy applies to our website and its associated subdomains (collectively, our "Service") alongside our application, Tapuchino: Idle Cafe Tycoon. By accessing or using our Service, you signify that you have read, understood, and agree to our collection, storage, use, and disclosure of your information as described in this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use.
Tapuchino is a single-player game. It has no accounts, no login, no cloud save, no chat and no user-generated content, and your game progress is stored only on your own device. We do not ask for your name, address or phone number, and we never see your payment details. The data that does leave your device is handled by the third-party services listed below — advertising, purchase validation and anonymous analytics — and we do not sell personal information.
Definitions and key terms
To help explain things as clearly as possible in this Privacy Policy, every time any of these terms are referenced, they are strictly defined as:
- Cookie: a small amount of data generated by a website and saved by your web browser. It is used to identify your browser and to remember information such as your language preference.
- Company: when this policy mentions "Company," "we," "us," or "our," it refers to HappyTooth, publisher of Tapuchino: Idle Cafe Tycoon, which is responsible for your information under this Privacy Policy.
- Country: where the owners/founders of Tapuchino: Idle Cafe Tycoon are based, in this case Poland.
- Device: any internet connected device such as a phone, tablet or computer that can be used to visit Tapuchino: Idle Cafe Tycoon and use the services.
- IP address: every device connected to the Internet is assigned a number known as an Internet protocol (IP) address. These numbers are usually assigned in geographic blocks. An IP address can often be used to identify the approximate location from which a device is connecting to the Internet.
- Personnel: those individuals who are employed by HappyTooth or are under contract to perform a service on its behalf.
- Personal Data: any information that directly, indirectly, or in connection with other information — including a personal identification number — allows for the identification or identifiability of a natural person.
- Player, You: a person who downloads, installs or plays Tapuchino: Idle Cafe Tycoon, or who visits our website. No registration or account is required or possible.
- Service: the game Tapuchino: Idle Cafe Tycoon and this website.
- Third-party service: advertisers, analytics providers, purchase processors and other providers whose technology is used in the Service — see Third-party services we use.
- Website: Tapuchino: Idle Cafe Tycoon's site, which can be accessed via this URL: https://tapuchino.happytoothapp.com/
Information we collect
Stored on your device only. Your game progress — cafe state, upgrades, Golden Bean balance, settings and similar — is saved locally on your device. We have no copy of it, no cloud backup and no way to read or restore it. It is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its data.
We do not collect account or contact data in the app. The Game has no sign-up, login, password, profile, chat or user-generated content, and it does not ask for your name, postal address, phone number or email address. If you email us for support, we receive whatever you choose to put in that email and use it only to answer you.
Collected automatically by the third-party services in the app. When you play, the services listed below may automatically receive technical and usage information such as your IP address (from which approximate location may be derived), device model and operating system, language and country settings, app version, advertising or device identifiers, crash information, and events describing how the app is used (for example, that a level or purchase screen was opened). This information is used to serve and measure ads, to validate purchases, and to understand aggregate app usage and stability.
Collected automatically when you visit our website. As with any website, our hosting provider processes standard server request data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security, abuse prevention and to serve the site.
Third-party services we use
We use a small number of third-party services in the Game. Each acts under its own privacy policy, and each may process the technical identifiers described above:
- Google AdMob — serves the optional rewarded video ads you choose to watch in exchange for in-game bonuses. Ads are never forced. Google's practices: policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
- RevenueCat — validates and manages in-app purchases made through the App Store and Google Play on our behalf. Privacy policy: revenuecat.com/privacy.
- Firebase / Google Analytics for Firebase — aggregate, non-identifying analytics and stability reporting that tell us which features are used and where the app crashes, plus Firebase Remote Config, which fetches non-personal game-balance settings and carries a Firebase installation identifier. Privacy policy: firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
- Apple App Store and Google Play — deliver the app and process all payments. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to your purchase.
You can limit ad personalisation and reset or delete your advertising identifier at any time in your device settings: on iOS via Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking and Apple Advertising, and on Android via Settings › Google › Ads. On iOS, personalised tracking additionally requires your explicit permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the Game asks for your consent to personalised advertising through Google's consent form (the "User Messaging Platform") the first time you open it. You can change or withdraw that choice at any time from Settings › Privacy options in the Game.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties other than the service providers named above and as described in Sale of business and affiliates.
Purchases and payment details
All in-app purchases are processed by Apple or Google. We never receive, see or store your payment card, bank or billing details. We receive only a confirmation, via RevenueCat, that a purchase was validly completed, so the Game can deliver what you bought. Refunds and billing disputes are handled by Apple or Google under their policies — see our Terms of Use.
Notifications
The Game may ask permission to send you local reminder notifications (for example, that your cafe is waiting). These are scheduled on your device; we do not use them to send marketing and they do not require sending your data to us. You can turn them off at any time in your device's notification settings.
Website, cookies and local storage
Our website is a static informational site. It does not require a login and does not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking. It uses Vercel Web Analytics, a cookieless measurement tool that counts page views and referrers without building a profile of you or following you across other sites (see Vercel's privacy documentation). Your browser may store a small amount of data locally — for example a language preference — using local storage, which keeps data on your own device and is not sent in HTTP request headers. Most browsers let you block or clear cookies and local storage from their settings; doing so may reset such preferences but will not otherwise prevent you from using the site.
The Game itself does not use browser cookies. It stores your progress and settings locally on your device, as described above.
Kids' privacy
Tapuchino is a general-audience game. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. The Game's official age rating is the one shown on its App Store and Google Play listings.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with Personal Data — for example by emailing us — please contact us and we will delete it. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from anyone under the age of 13 without verified parental consent, we take steps to delete that information.
Parents and guardians control purchases and ads on the device: purchase confirmation and restrictions can be enabled with iOS Screen Time or Google Play parental controls, and ad personalisation can be limited in the device settings described above.
Data retention
Game progress stays on your device until you delete the app or its data — we hold no copy and therefore have nothing to return or erase. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to handle your request and our records of it. Data held by the third-party services above is retained under their own retention policies.
Information about General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the GDPR (and the UK GDPR) gives you rights over your personal data, and this section explains how they apply here.
GDPR is an EU-wide privacy and data protection law that regulates how EU residents' data is protected by companies and enhances the control EU residents have over their personal data. It is relevant to any globally operating company, not just EU-based businesses, which is why we apply its standards to all our operations.
What is personal data?
Any data that relates to an identifiable or identified individual. GDPR covers a broad spectrum of information that could be used on its own, or in combination with other pieces of information, to identify a person. Personal data extends beyond a person's name or email address; examples include financial information, IP addresses, device identifiers, physical address and similar data.
The Data Protection Principles include requirements such as:
- Personal data collected must be processed in a fair, legal, and transparent way and should only be used in a way that a person would reasonably expect.
- Personal data should only be collected to fulfil a specific purpose and it should only be used for that purpose. Organizations must specify why they need the personal data when they collect it.
- Personal data should be held no longer than necessary to fulfil its purpose.
- People covered by the GDPR have the right to access their own personal data. They can also request a copy of their data, and that their data be updated, deleted, restricted, or moved to another organization.
Your rights and how to exercise them
You have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of the personal data we hold about you, to object to processing, and to data portability, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Because Tapuchino has no accounts and your progress never leaves your device, in most cases we hold no personal data about you to access, export or delete — deleting the app deletes it. Where a request concerns data processed by the third-party services listed above, we will tell you which service is involved and, where we can, pass the request on. To make a request, email us at happy.toothapp@gmail.com; we respond within one month.
Our legal bases for processing are: your consent (for personalised advertising and, on iOS, tracking), the performance of a contract (delivering purchases you make), and our legitimate interests (keeping the app secure, stable and improving it through aggregate analytics).
California Residents (CCPA)
The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) requires us to disclose the categories of Personal Information we collect and how we use it, the categories of sources from which we collect it, and the third parties with whom we share it, which we have explained above.
California residents may exercise the following rights:
- Right to Know and Access. You may submit a verifiable request for information regarding the: (1) categories of Personal Information we collect, use, or share; (2) purposes for which categories of Personal Information are collected or used by us; (3) categories of sources from which we collect Personal Information; and (4) specific pieces of Personal Information we have collected about you.
- Right to Delete. You may submit a verifiable request that we delete Personal Information we have collected about you. Note that game progress is stored on your device and is deleted by uninstalling the app or clearing its data.
- Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing. We do not sell or share the Personal Information of our users as those terms are defined by the CCPA.
- Right to Equal Service. We will not discriminate against you if you exercise your privacy rights.
If you make a request, we have one month to respond. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us.
California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA)
CalOPPA requires us to disclose the categories of Personal Information we collect and how we use it, the categories of sources from which we collect it, and the third parties with whom we share it, which we have explained above. It also requires us to state how we respond to Do Not Track signals: our website does not track visitors across sites and therefore does not respond differently to Do Not Track signals. The rights described in the CCPA section above apply.
Links to Other Websites
This Privacy Policy applies only to the Service. The Service may contain links to other websites not operated or controlled by us, including websites reached through advertisements. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy or opinions expressed on such websites, and they are not investigated, monitored or checked for accuracy or completeness by us. When you follow a link away from the Service, this Privacy Policy no longer applies; your browsing and interaction on any other website is subject to that website's own rules and policies, and such third parties may use their own cookies or other methods to collect information about you.
Sale of Business and Affiliates
We reserve the right to transfer information to a third party in the event of a sale, merger or other transfer of all or substantially all of the assets of HappyTooth or any of its Corporate Affiliates, or that portion to which the Service relates, or in the event that we discontinue our business or a petition in bankruptcy, reorganization or similar proceeding is filed by or against us, provided that the third party agrees to adhere to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
We may disclose information about you to our Corporate Affiliates. For purposes of this Privacy Policy, "Corporate Affiliate" means any person or entity which directly or indirectly controls, is controlled by or is under common control with HappyTooth, whether by ownership or otherwise. Any information relating to you that we provide to our Corporate Affiliates will be treated by them in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy.
Governing Law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of Poland without regard to its conflict of laws provisions. You consent to the jurisdiction of the courts of Poland in connection with any action or dispute arising between the parties under or in connection with this Privacy Policy. Your use of the app may also be subject to other local, state, national, or international laws, and nothing here removes any right you have to bring proceedings in, or to the protection of the mandatory law of, your country of residence.
By using Tapuchino: Idle Cafe Tycoon or contacting us directly, you signify your acceptance of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, you should not engage with our website or use our services.
Your Consent
By using our app or making a purchase, you consent to this Privacy Policy and agree to its terms. Where consent is the legal basis for processing — such as personalised advertising, or tracking on iOS — you can withdraw it at any time through your device settings, as described above.
Changes To Our Privacy Policy
We may change our Service and policies, and we may need to make changes to this Privacy Policy so that it accurately reflects our Service and policies. Unless otherwise required by law, we will notify you (for example, through our Service) before we make changes to this Privacy Policy and give you an opportunity to review them before they go into effect. The "Updated at" date at the top of this page always shows the current version. If you continue to use the Service after the changes take effect, you will be bound by the updated Privacy Policy. If you do not want to agree to this or any updated Privacy Policy, stop using the Service and uninstall the app.
